Blood Veil

Blood Veil takes its name from its most apparent symptom, a rash and mask of blisters that covers the face. In its initial stages, the disease is characterized by headache, fatigue, coughing, and the aforementioned rash. As it progresses, the cough becomes more obtrusive, the rash spreads to the neck, face, and limbs and develops into pox-like blisters, and the lymph glands swell into painful buboes. At its most advanced stage, the blisters grow to the size of grapes or larger, internal bleeding creates black patches on the skin, and blood is expectorated. Ultimately, a most unseemly, wheezing death occurs. If left untreated, blood veil kills the average human in approximately seven days.

According to the priests of Abadar it is contracted by close contact with an infected person, but astute observers will notice that plague doctors wear full masks at all times with in the city.

First contact party had was Grau’s niece in Trail’s end.
First contact priest of Abadar had was the owner of the 3 ring inn, north point.

After what seemed like weeks of terror the root cause of the plague was discovered and laid at the feet of Dr. Davaulus and Rolth, the former was killed while the later got away. However their notes were recovered and with that a cure was shortly produced followed by a much needed celebration.
